more felted sweaters in use! i was so excited when i thought of this idea for several reasons.1. i think the felted sweaters will wear well over time, and because they are felted i think they will hold up well to lots of use by children.
and 2. i love that all of the chairs are white, if i ever do get a big wood farm table and we have more space, any additional chairs we acquire can be painted white for cohesion.
3. with all of the seat covers being mixed felted sweaters i never have to worry about running out of the fabric. they also are in keeping with my new design goal in our home (i can't help it, i'm a trained interior designer!), they are mostly white and have color and mixed patterns. sigh... they make me happy.
one of the benefits of living in a chilly climate is being able to use wool more often. my knitted and felted pillow was such a hit last year, it's not surprising to see us all trying to get to the sweater chairs first!

What a great idea! I have been wanting to recover some chairs (putting it off because they are old and there is so much dust and grime) and trying to figure out what kind of fabric to use that will wear well. I love felted wool...
