happy beltane, happy may day!

it's a beautiful spring day in our valley,
marley and i were so excited to honor the green man and the goddess,
and to welcome the fairies!

we decided to make little treats for our neighbors

we made cone baskets, with ribbons to hang them on door knobs
we made tags that said "happy may day"
i made tissue paper flowers and marley made paper flowers to put in them

marley loves doing crafty things like this, especially to be given in love

here is my little goddess ready to deliver the flowers
and little heart and flower shaped cookies we made

here is our little altar/ nature table
we have added a fairy picture and little rainbow candle we have
do you see the adorable blue bunny marley hand made on the right?
i need a beautiful goddess for our little sacred space
our green man is too big for this little space too, but we bid hello to him

we were not able to attend the may day celebration
(with the beautiful may pole)
because we attended sophie's run
that was so great and really meant a lot to my kids
i love how kind-hearted they are,
it means a lot to them to help our neighbors, who are older
and become a part of a community raising money and awareness for others
my heart is so full on this bountiful day, i hope yours is too!

***if you're wondering,
japser was on a well deserved hang out day with a friend,
he's been recovering from a nasty bout of strep throat!***

Ditto what Weezy said about Marley!! I did a double take when I saw her. She has grown into such a lovely young lady!!! The may day cones are adorable. I would have done a jig if I found one on my door. You ladies are the best!!!! The goddess will be good to you. XOXOX, Mel
